Happy New Year, our best wishes and a warm welcome to the “5th Season” in the Rhineland – BonnExpat goes Carnival again!

As the threat of the global pandemic does not allow for live celebrations of all kind, we have found a way to share our Carnival spirit and invite you to a fun night online: join us for the first edition of the “BonnExpat Alaaf Carnival Quiz“, hosted by the Mayor of Bonn, Katja Dörner, on behalf of BonnExpat.com in partnership with UN Funken, the Carnival association founded by UN Bonn staff.

How to join us for the evening:

  • We kindly invite you to register for the upcoming BonnExpat evening, which will be held as a Zoom meeting, at https://eveeno.com/199178935 
  • Prepare your own party for your household with some snacks and your favorite drinks for children and adults (typical Carnival food are the “Berliner“ sweet rolls or bread rolls with cheese or mince meat - along with some “Kölsch“ beer for the adults)
  • Don’t forget to dress up – be creative
  • Join the meeting a few minutes in advance to give us time to let participants in
  • Shout Alaaf, enjoy the quiz and the guests, and have a FUN evening with us!
  • Please note that the event will be recorded. By registering/dialing in for the Zoom event, you agree to the release of footage on the websites and the social media channels of the City of Bonn, the BonnExpat.com partners and for media and documentary purposes related to Carnival during a global pandemic.
